On and off screen I have often tried to find out how contestants answer the questions on 10 ka Dum…
What’s their thought process? Has their interaction with common people given them some understanding of popular opinion? How much do they rely on their intuition? And how seriously do they take the audience poll of those present in the studio…
I found that most contestants depend on their companion and their own gut feeling. Intuition plays a key role and analysis takes a back seat. Most contestants are confused on whether they should keep in mind the mood of the metros or of the entire country including rural India... They often pray when the monitor is traveling up and down in the fast, uncertain rhythm. It is fascinating to watch their reactions as it happens!
I think we Indians pray very often and while praying have you noticed how we close our eyes… so that we may concentrate on our image of God. In our country even scientists and technocrats pray and visit shrines. During the last decade the number of people visiting shrines has increased a whole lot. Have we become more religious or do we simply fear to loose our lot?

Hey,Heard that u are shooting with Priyanka chopra and bobby deol.For there appearence in Dus ka dum show.I heard that despite u were not well,still u were shooting.A media recently reported that your brother Arbaz khan celebrated his birthday with your sister in law and his wife Malika arora khan.also with u arpitha khan,Sohail khan and your other family members and friends.Hope u guys had a rocking time!i am religious but not very orthodox guy,how abut u.Are u religious and orthodox.So do u visit temples in mumbai and in other places in India.Do u offer prayers in your home on friday and daily or do u visit any shrines or Haji ali in Mumbai.
Hello Sir, About ur this blog, everybody or may be most of the people want money even if they have sufficient or not. And to get it easy way it better. Like most of the time when i watch Dus Ka Dum i also try to give answers and most of the time im right.Its just i think about people of india and not all people give answer from heart, people are double faced they wud tell u something and do comepletly opposite and just to analyze their thinking is hard to do but its our belief and its our need to get money as much as we can which made us give the answers we gave. I hope u r not angyr with my blog its jsut my thinking.

Im must say u got brains along with look :) U r sensitive abt ur surroundings too. If u ask me,Dus ka dum is very difficult to play coz i think its purely on intution as most of the contestant play.. U r very rt,we Indians are more spiritual...Even if we breath we say its HIS wish...So when we need some moral support we go to shrines includings big-vigs like u.. coz i think in a way that boosts ones morale...then even if we loose..we take it as +ve as HE must have thought something better ..so in a way its good if we are becoming more spiritual..atleast we will keep trying and improving our lives and of surroundings ;)

the people on the show are part of the masses of common people, they rely on what they know from their life, traditions and general thought. we are all different yet each culure has its own foundations where the basis are the same feelings towards general life.
when it comes playing for money, each is scared to make the decsion on their own and i think it is a nice way to involve your chosen companinon in the game.
as i think there is no greater adrenaline rush at that moment than that little movement on the screen to see if one is right .-)
even i get excited on the other side of the screen.
i believe that intuition is a very important part of us that God has given us to guide us in descions in life, the art is to learn to listen when that little voice speaks to you, to listen to those little whispers of your soul. Not everybody has been taught this and i believe with some it is stronger than others. life sometimes interfers with this gift and confuses.
the power of Prayer, isn't this an amazing fact. and it is not only in the indian culture so strong, i believe all over the world we seek strength and guidenance in a Higher Power. we all seek Spirtuality and believe something Greater is watching over us and we are not alone. how can such a miracle as this world been created on its own.

i dont know if we are more religious ,maybe just humans become more awere,more able to fell that really there is SOMETHING above us - something or somebody who guide our lives.
even me - who,except you,i never was a fanatic for nothing & nobody,not even for gods - i must accept that we are not alone.i do not know what it is,what is "his" name & i dont trust too much in religions but for sure there is something,very power who decides things & we cannt fight against.

yes,i think most of the people are religious & pray for fear.sincerely,i dont like that kind of belief;i dont like when GOD is portretized as somebody very vain, cruel,who punish us all the time if we dont pray (pray is for us not for god)& want us unhappy.contrary!he does everything to keep us away from a painful life.he try hardly to show us the right path and he loves us a lot but even the most loving father loose his patient when we do too many mistakes.he kicks our asses because he want our good not bcoz he is a bad one.
in life we have all kind of experiences,great or worse,bcoz we must learn...we must learn to not repeat mistakes.unfortunely,seems that we learn better from bad ones & suffer is suposed the best teacher.
moreover,seems that GOD has his own planes for us.when his planes arent the same with ours,he let us know,somehow.
it's not true we loose bcoz god is mean,we loose bcoz we are already on the wrong way,very far away from our destiny ,the truth & happiness,very far from what we really want in the buttom of our souls.

Hi! :) Ya you are right. They imagine and recall the image of God in their minds...whenever I pray, I recall the God idol that is at my place.
And as to why people are becoming more religious- I guess it is because of fear, and many a times it is a very selfish fear. Admist this rat race and cut throat competition, people want easy earned success. And since there is no shortcut to sucess, they blackmail God. Even I do. I often ask for things which I'm not worthy for. :) But then its OK...God is our fiend. Its allright to blackmail him sometimes. ;) Take care. God Bless You :)

More than 95% of people of this world beleive in some sort of God or religion and they all pray when they have fear of losing something or when they want to achieve or win something. And a lot of them pray just to thank God for what they have. I am not in India so I cannot comment on whether the number of people going to religious places has gone up or not, but I know that the population has gone up for sure, so naturally more people will be going to those religious places. It is the percent of how many people go to religious places that makes more sense than the number of people. So it is a 10 Ka Dum question :)

like always the questions are very funny but i see that lot of persons will want to leave the life of a film star for a week...
seams interesting to do that but what happend with your own life?what happend with your own dreams??
seams very tentant to live somebody's life for a week(and sometimes we don't realise that all we see on screan is the effort of a hard job that we even can imagine...but we find it very simple) but i think we need to apreciate what we have because are persons who dosn't have nothing in this world but they are happy despite of the hit of the destiny.
all the time i remember the conjoined twins and them sacrifice for you...and despite of having this life and despite of what the destiny prepare for them both are happy with them own hopes and dreams and they learn to live in pain without complaining.
i think each one of us need to create his own way in life and to say thanks to GOD for what they have.
i think that if you have helth,a family,friends,a house,a job to hellp you leave a decent life you can consider yourself a lucky person.

Watched the news regarding the conjoined twins that call you their brother. You have a heart of gold. Everytime people want to dismiss you as this lufunga, you prove them wrong. You love to the hilt and then you take the jolt when people betray you, just as hard. Either way, you don't do things half assed. You never come across as being born with a silver spoon in your mouth. You know how to connect with people, to make a place for you in thier hearts.
You would give anything for your friends and family and the people that you think are really close to you. The problem is that people do not know how to appreciate what you do for them. In the end, they always look out for themselves and you end up getting hurt. It has happened to you so many times and you keep on giving. This says a lot about the person you are. When ppl are in special situations that could change their life like Dus ka Dum, mostly they use their
intution rather than public polls.
Because every body thinks himself very intelligent. And all those who believe on God they always believe pray could change destiny and its true. So I think most of them use their intution and pray and public polls just check for advice. Sometimes our pray does not approved then we should not be disappointed because whatever happened it is always for our good will. So on first step work hard then pray and leave on God.
In every religion ppl believe on God but concept about God is different. So according to their concepts they visit different places for their prayers to be approved. And in this world all type of ppl are there, some are just religious, very rare and some are those who pray because they dont want to loose any thing.

Patna, Aug 9 (IANS) It was a moment the two conjoined twins will cherish for the rest of their lives. Mercurial star Salman Khan showed his softer side, when he flew Saba and Farah to Mumbai and fulfilled their wish to tie a rakhi on his wrist.
The two sisters can't stop raving about their favourite star. "We are lucky that our wish was fulfilled by Salman bhaiya (brother). He invited us to Mumbai, met us and we tied a rakhi on his wrist," Saba and Farah told IANS here Saturday.
Salman also promised the sisters that he would visit their home in Samanpura in Patna after Eid.
'Salman bhaiya also promised us to give chance to participate in 'Dus Ka Dum' (show hosted by Salman)" the twins said.
'Salman is much more than a super-star. We will pray for his well-being," said Shakeel Ahmad, father of Saba and Farah.

Nice episode. That lady, I forgot her name- the roll over contestant-she is sooo sweet :) How she missed her husband and all, very sweet. I think that in today's world a lot of people still believe in something supernatural whom we refer to as GOD.... people without any doubts pray and worship GOD for their well being... and this makes them more and more religious by the day... but i would want to add one more thing that, whatever that happens in our lives is because of karma.... we make or break karma with the our actions... they say that GOD has given me this life... good or bad.... but i don't believe so... i think GOD has given us an opportunity... its upto us to make it GOOD or BAD and since GOD is so divine we seek his blessings and guidance to help us choose and live our destiny.... and of course... it goes without saying that you are the BEST... one thing we as fans have realised that u are really interested in geting married but u dont't know who has been choosen for u by GOD so let me suggest u something, salman why dont't u keep sola somvar vrat(their is no condition that it has to be done only 16 times but one can do till his wish is fullfilled), every mondays visit shiv temple and offer BILVA PATRE ( a type of leaf most favourite to LORD SHIVA)and also have only one meal(avoid non-veg) on mondays AND PRAY SINCERELY
