My interaction with contestants on and off screen reveals that most of them are fun loving, simple people and winning prizes has been an additional bonus for them. I am glad that some very needy people have won considerable amounts, which is bound to make a difference to their lives. Top on my agenda has always been the education of children. These little children who are the future of our country. Through the show I get a clear picture of an emerging, vibrant India. Another thing is that most of the people who got eliminated in the first round itself, bear no grudge and they take it very sportingly. It’s all about attitude and love this non defeatist attitude. Some contestants bring gifts for me. I wish to discourage this trend… I am overwhelmed with their love and I can feel its vibrations, which has nothing to do with gifts. I feel their love just by them being there with me. When I decided to anchor the show, it was to thank my fans and meet real people… but it looks like that my debt of love has now increased manifold. I am now conscious of their enormous love. I often wonder how well I connect with common people and meeting them has been an experience. I think if you are simple and spontaneous, you connect well. It’s already strange how effortlessly contestants reveal their private fears and dreams. I find it difficult to be so open…even now but I am trying. Trying my best to reach out and spread the magic of love…

I too believe that education to the children is very important and the first thing..... but i feel so sad when i see children in small hotels doing a job. This is the time for them to study and what i am seeing hurt me a lot that because of their need they are doing job instead of studying.....They also deserve to study....
and The children who are lucky gets educated but when they growing up....they are moving through the most difficult/ deciding time of their lives and that is teenage....
We constantly hear "Children are the future of the India." But during the teenage their way of thinking changes and i often realize that the place where i lives is a student area. There is a engineering college nearby my place.
When i go for a breakfast or dinner, i often see that these teenagers are smoking cigrattes. There are drinkers also at this age which i came to know after hearing their conversation.....
Is it really worth to leave away from your house for the sake of study and learning these crepy things???? Is it life for them???? Is it cool thing to do?????
Of course it's not !!!!!! But who will told them that this is wrong......parents, teachers or ?????

whatever the midea says or writes abt u, including recently the so called fued between u and sharukh, i just dont believe it. v have seen u in many interviews and in 10kadum now, its impossible for us to beleive the bakwas media. i am sure the show is building up u r image which the media has been trying to malign for years now.

It is true that people should not bring gifts, but in my opinion, it is what brings people closer to each other in our culture. Gifts, whether they are small or big, cheap or expensive, bought, or made, shining or dull, show one's love, emotions, and care for others. What I would suggest is that people should give the money to needy people instead. In fact if every person appearing on the show give some(of the currency they earn in) to the charity, that can make a huge difference. Also, one should not try to spend on gifts more than they can afford. Gifts are about showing your love, and numbers on the price tag does not make it better or worse.

I am quite amazed at how comfortable and tactful you are on the show in spite of the possibility that the contestants can ask you all sorts of bizarre questions. You handle yourself brilliantly well, providing intelligent responses. It is your endearing, humble nature and your people skills that make you an admirable role model for young men like myself. Other actors may be successful and good at their craft, but they do come across as rather insincere and hollow.
I really enjoyed watching the episode with Aamir Khan. There seems to be a genuine mutual fondness between the two of you. Please consider doing a project together soon - no matter how many retakes Aamir may ask for!!

Yes, the best aspect of the show to me is how well you and the contestants connect with each other. I am curious: Do you spend some time with them before the taping of the show starts, so that they feel comfortable with you, or is this behavior the way they are on first meeting you? They are all such big fans of yours, that I can't imagine them being so nonchalant about being with you. I got a big kick out of that girl who was the sister of one of your Punjabi contestants. She asked if she could come on stage and just touch you once, and when you said yes, and she touched your arm, she just started screaming and couldn't stop! Well, that is how I expected most people to react, so seeing them all so cool and composed as they play the game is actually surprising. That's why I think they must have spent some time with you beforehand, to get all their excitement out of their system!
As for the gifts people bring you, I think it is not only to show their love for you, but also to express their hope that the gift will serve as a remembrance, to remind you of them. It is an understandable desire.

The reasons contestants love you so much is that because you love them back. You give each and every person so much respect and so much love...that no host has ever given. A perfect example of that is Srk on Paanchvi...on that show only normal housewives, teachers and students come...ive never seen a sweeper or a drag queen come on that show. Srk is a boring host...there's nothing passionate about him...all srk is able to do is say tacky lines and wear tacky clothes. I love you salman...your the best host ever...you kiss everyone, you hug them, you comfort them, you make them laugh and most importantly you give them the best moment of their lives. I love you salman...your a wonderful human being! And because of you each and every episode of 10 ka dum is so amazing. All the episodes leave an impact on us. I'm very proud that you bought the Bushra girl's parents on this show; it was such an emotional moment...but before i could cry you cheered me up with the bhangra of the punjabi's!!!

I see that in all your comments you always mention the poer of "love". It reminds me of the story of the three men who knocked on the door of a very poor family and introduced themselves as Wealth; Happiness and Love. They asked the family to pick one of them and invite them in. Only one could be invited. After much deliberation the family picked "love" and all three men walked in. The family was confused as they had been asked to invite only one but now all three came in. The men explained that had they picked Wealth or Happiness then only the chosen one would walk in but since they picked "Love",wealth and happiness would always follow. Too many of us take this simple word for granted. You're right we marry expecting to change our partners and men marry us expecting us to stay the same, but I have learnt that you can't change anyone, only yourself. Very few people are patient enough to find their soulmates,only to realise later that they have settled for a life and partner that they are not happy with. It certainly would be a lot easier if we all remembered the unconditional love we gave so freely as children. I love Indian movies because they portray "pyaar" (be it between lovers or family or even friends)in its truest form- its most unfortunate the world has forgotten the true beauty of the gift of love." Sometimes the greatest journey is the distance between two people" I for one hope to never give up on that journey, however long that may be.
