It really amuses me no end that most contestants in the show express their earnest desire of seeing me married. I really respect their love for me but why is everyone concerned about a very individual choice, personal issue? I can understand my married friends being jealous of my single blessedness. I understand that marriage is very important in our social fabric and the oldest popular statement is that ‘Shaadi ka ladoo jo khaye who bhi pachtaye aur joh na khaye who bhi pachtaye’. I don’t like sweets so it doesn’t concern me. Yet another popular belief is that most women marry in the hope that the husband will improve for the better after the wedding and most men believe that wives will not change! Implied meaning is that they will remain charming beloveds and their beauty shall not wither. This hope for change and belief in changelessness leads tying of nuptial knots…

I think it's still a typical Indian way of thinking - that it's necessary to be married, have children etc. before a certain age.
I live in Germany, where there's very little pressure on people to get married. Everyone can live the way they like, whether married, in a relationship or single. There's nothing 'incomplete' in a person even if s/he remains single till old age.
So, as a citizen of the world, don't worry about getting married. It's fine to live the way you want.

ha, ha, hey, that is the part I love about the show when they put you on the spot. Like you said they love you so that is why they ask. It is difficult for people not to treat you like an individual of their own family because that is the place that you have created in their hearts. When you are family then these questions will surely be placed to you. It is like a white girlfriend of mine, she is 39 and she is still not married and she is constantly bombarded with this question for all. She is frustrated but like I say to her, take it all in stride and know that these people love you and they are just wishing for you what they think is best. It might amuse you sallu, that why your fans want to intrude in your personal life and I could imagine where you coming from..but you know, fans (it could be Indian fans or worldwide) once they love somebody , they not only love you as a actor but you as a person, and dont really know the limits and want to know everything and anything about you. If you even happen to go through a rough patch in your personal life , they will not think of you as a just another artist and let you suffer through it... they are going to stand for you.. they are going to pray for you.. they are going to do upwaas for you.. in a way, they accept you as a beloved part of their lives and so i guess its going to be a package deal....they want you to get married as well..=0) because according to them, thats the right thing to do, and since they love you so much , they would like to see you settled as they would like to see their own kids, or their own brother or their own friends or beloved.
Coming to my point of view, I know.. I know.. you havnt asked but i would still offer a good advise as a good ardent indian fan from US, salman, please settle down with a nice lovely person. One need to get married for companionship, for unconditional love, unconditional support system which comes through wife and later through kids. Yes, I totally agree with you, please dont marry somebody till you really find somebody worth of your unconditional love and once you find that soulmate, dont wait any longer.. Please dont judge your loved ones as they famously say:

My question to everyone after Salman is very simple; Is he a God or a Human Being?
Now since most of the people will agree to the fact that Salman Khan is a human being first and then probably a God to thousands and lakhs of unknown faces world around, let’s be more sensitive to his life as a normal human being.
Why should be there so much of mullah over his relationship/s, his family members, his marriage plans? Come-on people get over it.
He was born a human and he has all the rights just like you and me to live his life in his own terms. Let he too make mistakes, tumble, fall but learn like we do. But for God sake leave him alone and respect his individuality for the self made man that he is.

Writing you in a hope that you may read it.
I am an software engineer earning 15k per month, which is enough for me and my family.
but not enough to change a life, as i m not as influential as you. salman i am working in hyderabad.
I heard many social activities you did for needy people, some where they became demanding and disrespect the kind help give by god through your hand.
here i m not urging you to help any bagger. he is young man, who is mentally imbalance, god knows who abandoned him, he roam in streets and dont even know to beg for food, he just stand infront of shops, sometimes screams. Often i see him while returning from my office and feel afraid to go near him.
many times i saw him jus siting with hand in his stomach. every time i see him, my heart cries out of pain. when i see people in malls flaunting their money in designer cloths, shoes, bags, when i read about how to decorate homes with the accessory worth rupees laks all i feel is, what a big joke, as all this can never arrange a 1rs water packet or 10rs food for that mentally imbalance man.
no body wil come forward to send him in govt owned mental hospital, atleast there he can get some food in time.
I wrote about this to so many email ids i got from social service web sites, but no help. and i know i may not get any response from this also. but still i m trying, coz this much only i can do from my office desk. one day u or like u, a big, influential personality may come forward to help, jus to send that man in a mental hospital.

I have not watched ur show Dus ka Dum:-( i know its a Shame for a person who has followed all ur movies right from Biwi Ho to Aisi,actually before that, the Suitings ad u did....Wo, never have liked any other star, Saare Bache hai aap ke samne. i dont really think you be reading this, actually hope ur not ha-ha. But one secret i can share...That i wanted to and want to see u,In school and college (bandra) had friends who'd say..."Aaj meine Salman ko dekha" and i use to sigh!(in the silence of my heart) Saying where on earth was I??.lol, Now am a happily married lady( in my 20ties) ,living in Dubai,Gulf News gives me ur latest updates, Ah but i still sigh!! & Wish I could just see you once,ha ha..that was fun!! I m ur fan and first time writing a comment.. Well i went through some of the posts of urs n to my surprise i found u completely the way i used to perceive about u....u r portrayed differently in media and that is not a good thing........i was watching some special prime time prog on news channel to see what actaully happened..but u knw they portrayed u as a Chalaak insaan saying that u want to target many people by one arrow......
frankly i knw u loose patience easily n definitely u must have done something there which could be an objectionable thing but media should not highlight things in this way...
i knew from starting that u r a diff man as all other people know u by media..........
I do like u n will keep doing so.......good luck for ur life n i agree that it is not necessary in this world to marry........

It was reflected through ur posts.........with no intention to hurt anybody i knew from starting that thew prog on star plus is not going to work n urs will be a highly successful as people wanted to know more about u all the time n through this Das ka dum it has come true.
U knw salman bhai.......when ur prog was started i was not allowed to watch it because of some odd questions which were aired during its promos............so i watched some repeat episodes later n then convinced my family to watch it..n now all of us ( Dad, Mom n Big b) watch ur prog..
may u achieve all success n plss never bother for what people say or think about u......ur fans will be always with u......i knw u hv many fans but pls spare some time to reply me if u can
