WOW!!! May I add a heartfelt "Hear, hear!" to today's post!! This is exactly the way I feel about current day Hindi films, which, under the name of "Bollywood," claim to represent all of India, when they don't even represent all of the Hindi speaking part of India. This is yet one more reason why I appreciate your films so much.
I also agree about your observations on television. It was clear from the initial dismissive tone of various commentators in the news media that they have no time, or indeed, respect, for that part of India that is not English speaking and "modern." I am glad that the show is such a success.

I just want to tell you something about this statement of yours: "The nice part is that no matter where they live it makes me feel I live in their heart".
I have already mentioned the fan forum I belong to, www.salmanmania.com. Well, from time to time there, someone will ask "Where is Salman?" because we want to know if you are traveling for a film or show, or at home in Mumbai. One of our members, who is from Iran, always responds by saying, "Do you know where is Salman. You don't know ???!!!!
He is in heart of all of us!"
So you see, she knew exactly what was in your mind, even though she is far away from India, and has never met you. I guess you have a direct mind connection to your fans, or maybe it is a direct heart connection!

although i've known from the first second the 10kadum will be a blast thanks to your mesmerising presence,i couldn't imagine that whole show will be so entertaining and even contestants will be so funny.
in fact,was a brilliant,inspired decision to put your own mark on the initial concept,creating a new one in keeping with your stupendous,charming personality.
my only regret is this game is too exclusive,for indians use only.
it's depriveing for overseas,non-indians salman's fans who cann't enjoy 100% this unique oportunity to find more about "the real" you ,because of the languege.

Some minuets later he saw a ship .the ship came closer & closer. A man accosted the fisherman " come. we will help you. your boat is not safe at all" but the young
Fisherman reject their help & told them " no thanks ,I only wait for GOD's help not humans help!
The weather turned more darker & stormy. Among the darkness suddenly he saw a little boat coming toward his boat! There was an old man in it. " come here my son .I know these waters very well. I have been spent 60 years of my life in these waters. Come I will take you to a safe place"
But the young fisherman reject his help & said " I only accept GOD's help & seek HIS signs! I reject the big ship's help so why you think that I will accept your help?"
By hearing this the old man shake his head & told " how ignorant are you! Your heart is blind! GOD hear your prayer & sent the signs of his help to you, first the ship & then me ! but your blind for his signs! we are HIS medias

I loved 10 ka dum yesterday....i cant belive the grandma picked you up and twice...it was sooo funny.
I love 10 ka dum because any one can play it or watch it....from a milkman to a drag queen. It dosen't matter. I think this is the only show in India where everyone is considered equal. With some movies the story is super duper glamours and only meant for city people. Such movies don't take much interest in the common man. That's why i love your movies because any one can watch them; even if they take place in New york and are full of glam sham a common person can relate to something; usually your character.

Even though these small tows are still primitive in their approach to the fast lives that we expwerience nowadays, the evils in society such as fear, hatred, jealousy, corruption, selfishness and injustice can be found to a much lesser extent in thses small towns. They are not ruthless, they have got LIFE. That is what I've experienced during my 18 years of life.

WOw sat episode was so rocking and full of fun. In rakhi segment ur expressions were great. And the higlight of the show was ur chemistry with nani and dadi. This was another very bold step ppl always ignore seniors but u did a great job.

Hi Salman...very true to say the producers are catering to the up-end audience these days and this is what making the change in society as well.People are trying to follow the same rich standards shown despite the fact they are not at that level financially.In one of your blog you wrote that We as Indians welcome whatever comes our way.Infact cinema must think that not all are NRI'S,the same with TV as well you will find nothing very exciting.The target customer for cinema and TV is Niche society and that's what making the difference.The way you interact with mid class segment should make these producers think that India lives in village and all of us are villagers from the core of heart.Make something for true Indian who is been hidden by this pomp and show.

You are true that Indian film makers are more concern about the dollars and pounds. They don't have any social concern towards the people here in India.
Even I don't like this puppy cinema.
On the otherside TV is typecast with the family drama with full of Saas-Babu bitching and tears.
Unfortunatally we are bond to inspire;our deeds based on the selection of the best result availble rather than starting, experimenting and presenting newism. Or may be our finanical insecuriy never leads our to go out of box and come forward beyond our mind.

And what you said about filmmakers making money not considering some audiances is so true....
Some filmmakers just want to make money and don't ....they write the script because they need it(to make money) but i personally feel and have strong desire i will and i am writting script because i want it more than i need it....
I want my script to get on the screen so that someone can understand the value of life...specially teenagers. It's not a kid's script but really a true script that came from my heart.

The Show is another medium to know about you more. I have read that you paint, but I came to know that you paint so good when I saw that painting of yours in which you have portrayed your days in the Jodhpur prison. That was great!!!!

and just wondewr the girl i loved still loves me from heart but even she is somewhat pareshaan from my halaat...and we fight that sdhe doesnt understand me....iam that banda ki jisne kisike liye itna kiy aaj w ahi meri halat mein mujhse door hai dil se..........
