I do not go out of my way to please any so called section of the audience. I believe in playing straight from the heart. My intention is never to hurt anyone’s sentiments or values or to show them down. It reminds me when Doordarshan began, there were certain guidelines certain norms that were laid down… I certainly follow those guidelines because I believe in them. It’s like those changeless values I have been trying to emphasize. While doing so I feel I remain modern… adaptable. Dus Ka Dum is a very modern concept but the questions, which sound very humorous and at times ridiculous in the format, give glimpses of common people and our ageless values. When I accepted to play anchor I had this fear that my thoughts and beliefs might be different from our ‘aawaam’ but as the show progressed I see that my fears were baseless…. I love connecting and establishing an instant rapport with my contestants….

Yea, We know you play the roles that came from the heart not targeting any audience but some directors do so by choosing the script that will target a particular audience. Some actors i don't want to name act in a film that they feel it will increase their popularity to a certain section of audience in India or abroad....
What i feel is it wouldn't mind what the role is it's must came from the heart not deciding whether it should which audience....There is no category of audience everyone have same heart same feeling......

I just wanted to say that I find the questions in DKD very interesting, and the answers sometimes show that I am too cynical or pessimistic about the Indian population. For instance, the question about how many Indians are proud of their country had a much higher percentage than I expected, and the question about how many Indians give bribes in tonight's show (it's still Friday where I am) had a much lower percentage than I expected. I find these percentages reassuring.

Salman da has dispalying his generous nature again.During 10 Ka Dum episode which was shot last week, he gave away Rs. 1 lakh to a sweeper, from his own pocket.
The BMC sweeper from Akola,who participated in the reality show, was heartbroken after he was eliminated. Salman da noticed how upset he was and after hearing about his financial problem, asked his driver to get Rs 1 lakh for him.
Eyewithness who prestent there says, " The sweeper was very excited about being on the show, but his face fell after he was eliminated. Salman da approached him and asked him what was wrong."
The sweeper poured out all his financial troubles to Salman da who heard him out.
The eyewitness said, " I saw the sweeper telling Salman da that earns Rs. 3500 per month, and is finally left with Rs 1000 since he is repaying a loan in installments of Rs 2500 every month."
Salman da told him not to worry. He called his driver and asked him to get Rs. 1 lakh. The driver arrived within an hour.
The sweeper could not believe his eyes when salman da handed over the huge amout of money to him.
The eyewitness says, " He touched Salman da's feet in gratitude."

Friday episode was full of fun and with all this entertainment there was a social message about transgender. In fact it was a very positive step. Such type of steps could change the public opinion on particular issues.
This is the reason u are playing this show by heart and ppl are really enjoying by heart.
At the begining of every thing we feel fear but if we are sincere nothing could go wrong.
Even on my both sides my neighbours are indians and we share good rapport and home garden vegetables especially in summer.
Well said this is the universal message of every religion to preach love and peace and most important is that if we respect each other religion and having no misconception about others every body could live with peace in this world.

i watched your episode of 10 ka dum last night. It was fantastic. I am sooo proud of you. Laxmi said the true thing; there's only one true superstar in the world and that's you. I bet if Shahrukh khan or Amitabh had heard that they would have to play with people like Laxmi they would have defeintly said no. I love you for who you are. The saying 'don't judge a book by it's cover' truly works for you. For you it dosent matter who or what a person is; it's all about the personailty of the person!
I am a Pakistani, but my best friend is a Hindu Indian. Living in a place like Canada i've learned the importance of other religions and people. If Indians can accept Pakistanis and Pakistanis can accept Indians, than why can't the world accept people like Laxmi? Especially people from Asian countries. Frankly speaking I was kinda scared of Hijras, but after watching 10 ka dum my view of looking at them has changed 80%! My dad said that 10 ka dum is not an informative show, but who cares 10 ka dum is differnt; if i wanted to learn something i would watch discovery, but one thing no other show teaches is values, acceptance and love which 10 ka dum brings with each and every episode. You are the best host ever!

I hate to burst your bubble people but she carries a good head on her shoulders and showed more dignity than women who have gone down on their knees on national television. Remember the show when this lady said to Salman Khan that she would have married him if she weren't already a married woman? First of all, since I am the 51sth person to reply to this post, I will be delighted if you even reach this comment...and I know you will....just coz u r so amazzing!! Second, I love love love ur show and everyday that I watch ur show I love u even more. You have been such a genuine host that everyone who watches this show falls in lvoe with u, the contestants, the audience and all the Indians...it is just such a feel good show where all of us Indians come together and try to understand ourselves better :) I wish I was in India...then I would have def come to the show, just to meet you and feel the positive vibe! As for the post, you did not have to say any of it...people can see that from ur body language and read that in ur eyes...even if someone makes fun of u or says something that might be offensive, u laugh it away...it either takes a lot of patience to do that or just a lot of love for the person ...and it is obviously the latter...I could go on and on but all I want to say now is that I hope this show goes on and on so that when I do visit India, I can come :) as for now, sending u lots and lots of love and take care. I agree with Sudhindra prasad...you should get more sleep...lack of sleep is really harmful to ur health and since u r soooo health conscious, I don't know why u don't pay attention to that. Haan par ek baaat to hain ke even though u r tired, u r never cranky. U r always smiling and looking forward to pleasing people. Apart from all the wonderful qualities of you that amaze me, this one amazes me the most! Please share the secret, I could really use it :) Also, I am dying to see you with Aamir and I hope the two of you make a sequel to AAA. That would be just out of the world amazimg :) what say guys? You should also invite Karishma and priety on the show if possible...and we hope u show more of your paintings on the show..would love to see em! As you know Hadees and Quran are two different things.There is no hadees in Quran.You mentioned Hadees in Quran in your blog .Hadees are the collections of sayings of Prophet (Sallalahu ali wa sallam).Just wanted to correct.You write very good.Thanks to Dus ka dum.Because of whom we got another side of Salman.

Assalam o Allaikum Salman bhai, just to mention this is the first time I am to write to anyone out of the norm, as I have never written emails/blog posts to anyone apart from my friends or to the ones whom I think might need some help off me. As a matter of fact today is the first day, that I actually have read ur blogs, and I am just reading all of them in an anti-clockwise manner.
I want to really really congratulate you on your tremendous career, your magnanamous success, May Allaah bless you all the way through. You really have a kind heart.
But what really compelled me to pen it down today, and I am crossing my finders that I don't offend you in any manner, is that I wanted to ammend something, as you refered to the Quran, I am hoping it was just a mistake as you mistakenly put the word "hadis" in place of "Aayat/Verse", as Ahadeeth are the sayings of Prophet (PBUH) and everything revealed in Quraan is refered to as a "Aayat/Verse". I truly hope I didn't offend you, I would really appreciate a response from you, If that is possible for you to.
